As a seconding to my earlier post, here's some more pharmacy items for your simmies! :D I'll leave an explanation of what everything is
Boxes: Sterile Adhesive Pads, Heating Pad, Breathe Right Nasal Strips, OneTouch VerioIQ Glucose Meter, Metamucil, and FreeStyle InsuLinx Glucose Meter.
Sterile Adhesive Pads are used to treat and protect wounds.
Heating pads are used for muscle and joint pain, arthritis, period-related cramps, and are generally really comfy to nap with.
Breathe Right Nasal Strips are used for people, often smokers, with chronic snoring and nasal passage or oxygen intake issues.
OneTouch and FreeStyle are both glucose meters used for measuring blood glucose in diabetic, prediabetic, and hypo/hyper-glycemic patients on the go.
Metamucil is a digestive regulation powder.
Cold/Flu: Tylenol Extra Strength, ZzzQuil, Gravol Ginger Anti-Nauseant Tablets, and a DayQuil/NyQuil combo pack.
Tylenol helps relieve headaches, fever, and aches.
ZzzQuil is a nonaddictive sleep aid similar to melatonin.
Gravol Ginger is a natural, non-drowsy anti-nauseant, that can help stop vomiting and motion sickness.
DayQuil and NyQuil helps relieve coughs, fever, runny nose, sore throat, aches, and sneezing due to colds and flu.
Contraceptive and Transgender: Depo-Provera Contraceptive (Birth Control) Injection, Testosterone Cyclamate Injection, Plan B One-Step, and Andro-Gel.
Depo-Provera Injections are used for birth control in many people. Not to be confused with the 10-day pill form for people who are intersex or have PCOS.
Testosterone Cyclamate Injections are the same as Depo-Testosterone. It works to help female-to-male transgender men physically transition.
Plan B One-Step is an emergency contraceptive pill for young people who have had unprotected sex, in order to delay ovulation.
Andro-Gel is a testosterone gel for female-to-male transgender men who don't wish to take testosterone injections or want a slower transition.
Allergies: Claritin Allergy & Sinus, Reactine Liquid Gels, Aerius Dual-Action 12 Hour, Generic Benadryl, and Generic heartburn medicine.
Claritin, Reactine, and Aerius are all allergy medications for things like grass, pollen, dust, flowers, trees, and ragweed.
Benadryl is used for allergies or itching/hives caused by more serious reactions. Also used for colds, insomnia, Parkinson's tremors, and motion sickness.
Heartburn medicine is used for heartburn... :)
Bath & Body: Sea Salts for Baths, Cotton Gloves, and Epsom Salts.
Sea salt baths can help muscle and joint injuries, eczema, psoriasis, and can help exfoliate dead skin cells. Some believe it also helps radiation patients.
Cotton gloves help your skin to absorb creams, lotions, and ointments on the hands.
Epsom salt baths can help muscle and joint injuries, insomnia, psoriasis, cysts, bruises, arthritis pain, chemo patients, sunburns, and fibromyalgia.
Cough Syrups: Benadryl, Bismuth, and Benylin.
Benadryl helps to break down mucous buildup and decongest you.
Bismuth subsalicylate helps to treat indigestion, diarrhea, heartburn, and nausea.
Benylin helps to relieve pain, fever, headaches, congestion, chills, and coughs.
Ointments & Creams: Anti-Itch Cream, Polysporin Complete, and EczemaCare.
Anti-Itch Cream is used for bug bites, poison ivy, allergic skin reaction to cosmetics or jewellery, and eczema.
Polysporin is used to treat and heal wounds, cuts, burns, and scrapes that may be infected.
EczemaCare is used to treat eczema.
